The Story Behind the Voice
After years spent holding hands at the edge of life as a hospice nurse, I watched my own mother slip away to brain cancer in September 2025. Nobody can prepare you for the way life shatters into pieces you never knew existed. Everything rearranged itself — a new small town, an empty nest, and a silence so heavy it pushed me back into the pages of my journal, where my truest voice had always been waiting.
People kept telling me my dark humor and raw observations needed a home. In the hollow ache of loss, I finally stopped hiding them. I began printing the things we think but never say — the tender truths, the jagged edges, the unfiltered moments that make us human. These cards are my heart on paper: gritty, honest, and unwilling to pretend life is anything but beautifully messy.
I’ve always loved the moment a real line lands—the kind that cracks a smile and cracks open the truth. Humor has carried me through every shattered moment, because in the laughter, the broken pieces begin to heal. My world is my family; they are the gravity that steadies me. Spreading joy feels less like a choice and more like a responsibility — a small offering to humankind, a reminder that even in the wreckage, light still insists on finding us.
My mom was my best friend at times and my biggest critic at others, but her love for me never wavered. She was the one who told me to pull up my big girl pants and keep going, no matter how heavy life felt. Now she’s guiding me from above, and everything I create carries a piece of her strength, her honesty, and the legacy she left in me.
But this story doesn’t end with her — or with me. It began generations ago, with women who spoke through art, humor, and resilience when the world gave them no microphone. My grandmother’s sketches, my mother’s laughter, my own words — they’re all chapters of the same book. Each generation adds a verse, a brushstroke, a truth.
Blame MaryAnn™ isn’t just a brand; it’s a voice echoing through time — proof that women can turn survival into storytelling, grief into grace, and silence into legacy. And when my children and their children find these words one day, I hope they’ll hear all of us speaking together — five generations strong — reminding them that the voice of one woman can carry the story of many.
The Legacy Continues
Every woman in my family carried a voice — some whispered through art, some laughed through pain, some wrote through silence. I carry them all now, and I know the next generation will carry me. That’s how legacy works: one truth passed to another, one heartbeat echoing forward.
Blame MaryAnn™ is more than a brand; it’s a torch. It’s proof that our stories matter, that humor heals, and that grief can become grace.

Mascot Origin

The Blame MaryAnn™ mascot began with a 1937 portrait drawn by Antoinette Ricci, whose expressive linework captured timeless grace and wit. In 2026, her granddaughter reimagined the figure with a modern body and signature purple glasses — blending heritage and humor into one unmistakable icon. The head remains Antoinette’s original art, preserved as part of the family’s creative lineage, while the body and glasses represent the brand’s modern evolution. Together, they embody the spirit of Blame MaryAnn™ — a tribute to legacy, laughter, and the women who taught us to find beauty in imperfection.

Our Vision

To carry forward the women before me by turning truth, art, and humor into healing — because If you’re laughing, she’ll take credit.™
